China Lake Provisions opened in 2025 at 9 Main Street in China, Maine, with a simple idea: bring good food and locally sourced goods together under one roof, close to the people who need them most.
A timeless tradition, updated
Founder Michael Brown and his team set out to build what *What About Maine* called "a 2025 version of an old fashioned local general store" — a place grounded in the belief that good food at a fair price, served with care for the people who make it, is worth doing right.

From artisan pizzas and hearty sandwiches to ready-made meals and baked goods, the deli side of China Lake Provisions is built for real hunger — the kind you work up living and working in a small Maine town.
